And never knowin'
What could've been
What could've been
~Rascal Flatts...
What hurts the most is not a broken heart, but missing out completely.Men are territorial. A guy might not be romantically interested in a girl, but what keeps most male/female interactions “alive” is enjoying “the view.” And when the said, “female friend” finds a boyfriend...the “guy friend” is left asking, “So does that make me chop liver?” No romance or attraction is necessary to feel completely irrelevant and useless beyond lifting heavy boxes or helping with home work.
What men don’t tell you: What’s worse than a “Stage 5 Clinger?” When the “Stage 5 Clinger” is clinging to someone or something ELSE and NOT him.
What do I mean? The guy I “kinda-sorta-dated for 10 seconds” couldn’t believe I had such a great butt AND I wanted NOTHING serious with his amazing manhood, part-time job, and full-time dreaming. He would insist on gazing deep into my eyes, almost crying claiming, “You have such an affect on me.” I did want to help him find a job, but running off into the sunset and giving him free lodging in L.A. was hardly my plan.
When he finally realized that I was ONLY into his body (just like “World Peace”), he started desperately saying I WAS into him and just didn’t know we had a serious “relationship.” Don’t get me wrong, World Peace is a serious matter...However, World Peace doesn’t happen in 1.5 months.
When I said, “I’m still gonna go to grad school and move back to L.A.” he claimed I might not want to leave because he was SO amazing in bed.
I’m living back in L.A. now....
Like I said before, what men hate the most is losing out to SOMETHING else.
Whether it is the guy friend that never got to make a move, the guy friend that thought SHE would always have a crush on him or the guy that isn’t quite boyfriend material (but a great make out session); What they all hate is not being “the one” consistent object of desire....Even if the girl not giving them attention is a hideous hunchback....hunchback’s boost the male ego by about 0.5%.
"What hurts the most
Was being so close"
....and the chick is “into” something else.
My next post will be about something else
;-)
PS Women can feel this way too...the situation above is easily flipped around...just not as "intense."
